Day 2 of letting an AI closet app style my outfits for a week. I’ve been using the Alta wardrobe app for a few months now, so it should have a decent read on my style by this point. But I’m not entirely sure it calculated Australian heat today. Alta gave me a red cardigan, cream knit midi skirt, chunky loafers, pearl drop earrings and a white backpack. Cute outfit. Questionable temperature choice. I wore it exactly as styled first, then added a white singlet, polka dot headscarf and stacked pearl bracelets to make it feel a little more like me. I’ve been using the @alta closet app for a few mon
I’ve been using the @alta closet app for a few months now, so it’s had time to learn my style and build up style rules in my wardrobe. But features are one thing, I wanted to see how the AI styling works in real life. So I’m running a little experiment. For the next 7 days I’m letting Alta pick my outfits. For the first three days I’m choosing from the outfits already sitting on the homepage. I’m not allowed to scroll sideways for more options or load new looks. What’s already there is what I have to work with. Then for days 4 to 7 I’ll ask the AI stylist chat to style me and wear the first look it suggests, unless it’s wildly impractical, then I’m allowed the second option. First I show the outfit exactly as Alta styled it, then my version with a few added accessories if it needs a little extra.
