Today’s item of clothing for this episode of Four Seasons of Fashion is this red floral playsuit. My playsuit is from Shein but I have faith that you can use these outfits for inspiration for any playsuit you have in your possession. A playsuit is an item that is very often seen as a summer wardrobe piece but I’m here to show you how to wear it year-round! Once again, I’ll link anything I can from the outfits in the description below. Now, Let’s start with the spring outfit!

Spring

Florals are a spring essential, so this floral playsuit already has that going for it when styling it for this season. I styled it with a denim jacket for those mornings that are still a little nippy. Then I added some perforated ankle shooties as a perfect transitional piece from winter ankle booties to summer sandals. As for accessories I’ve layered on some chokers and a black crossbody bag to finish the look. Wrap style are very flattering on a lot of body types but can often sit a little too low cut, this playsuit included. Add a white cami or a lace bralette underneath for a little more coverage.

Summer

Without meaning to I’ve gone for a very similar summer outfit combo with this floral playsuit as I did with the patterned maxi dress from the first episode. All these pieces just scream summer to me. I feel like you can make anything look more beachy and relaxed summer vibes by adding a pair of tan brown strappy sandals and a rattan or straw crossbody bag. I’ve pulled the cream tones from the floral patterned and replicated them in my accessories with a beige suede wrapped choker necklace and these light wooden hoop earrings. This outfit would be perfect for walking along the beach front.

Autumn

To up the warm factor for this floral playsuit which doesn’t offer a lot of warmth, I’ve layered some purple toned stockings underneath and a cream snood scarf over the top. The snood covers the bare skin from the v-neckline and the stockings keep your legs toasty. A floppy felt hat and some knee-high tan boots will also add to the warm factor and the chic factor at the same time. Depending on where you live and how far into Autumn you are that may be enough warmth for you. If you need another layer, chuck on an army green military or anorak jacket. The best bag fit in my closet was my tan tote bag. But I’m not 100% sold on being too matchy-matchy with the boots. What do you guys think? What would be the perfect bag for this outfit?

Winter

If you thought the last outfit was nicely layered, then get ready for more! Colder weather means more layering people! This time I’ve gone for black stockings under the playsuit. These are especially warm stockings as they look transparent but they are actually fleece-lined. Double warm points! In this look I’ve also layered a white turtleneck underneath the floral playsuit. Layering under the playsuit means when toilet time inevitably comes you don’t have to sit there naked and freezing! Lol. For shoes I’ve gone with my thigh high black boots which add another layer of warmth to your legs. They also look dramatic and classy at the same time!

Winter Outfit (Floral Playsuit)

Are we warm enough yet? No? Well, chuck on a long grid patterned coat as well then! I love this pattern mix! It works so well because the grid pattern is larger than the floral, so your eye is drawn to it first, instead of being pulled in multiple directions at once. That’s one of the secrets to pattern mixing! Check out my How to Print Mix post for more tips! You might recognise this combo! As for accessorizing, I’ve gone a silver locket necklace, blush pink sphere earrings and a red cross-body handbag. I love a white look for winter! It looks light, clean, slick and not quite as depressing as black which I think is often overused in the winter months.

Do you believe me that you can wear playsuits all year round now? Which was your favourite? I think Winter is actually my favourite month to wear a floral playsuit! Who would have thought! I think I’ve going to challenge myself for next episode and style a mesh dress for all seasons! Subscribe so you’ll be notified when that comes out. See you then!
