Hey everyone, it’s been a minute, but I’m back with another episode of Dressed Up Dressed Down! Today, I’m tackling a band/graphic print t-shirt dress. The great thing about this styling session is that you can apply these outfit formulas to any style, colour, print, or band feature on your t-shirt dress. Simply draw inspiration from the colours in the graphic for your accessories. Check out the video below or read on for the blog version.
The Base
Let me show you my graphic print t-shirt dress that I’ll be styling with today. It’s a loose fit, slightly marled black dress with a quirky quote that reads, ‘Distinctive and Extraordinary Rebels Club. Be the Change.’ It’s bursting with colours like purple, pink, blue. There are even hints of muted yellow from the leopard print. Watch on to see how I play with these colours to create two versatile and stylish looks!
Dressed Up
For my dressed-up version, I’ve taken my graphic print t-shirt dress and paired it with fierce snake print booties and a luxurious white fur coat. The combination gives off serious Almost Famous rock star vibes. Especially if this were an actual band graphic on the dress.
To amplify the pink hues in the graphic, I’ve opted for eye-catching pink statement earrings for that extra wow factor. As for the handbag, I couldn’t decide between a glittery clutch for a touch of glamour or bringing in the pink again with a quilted rose gold cross-body bag for a more refined look.
To top it all off, I’ve added a patterned headscarf to complete the rockstar-inspired ensemble. Now I’m all set to rock out in style!
Dressed Down
For the dressed-down look, I’m imagining a cozy jam session around a campfire. I’ve added a flannel shirt tied around the waist, giving off that laid-back vibe. The I’ve paired it with my trusty white Converse shoes with a subtle hint of red to match back to the flannel.
For earrings, I’ve chosen red geometric hoops to add a pop of colour and playfulness to the outfit. Topping it off, I’ve thrown on a black fedora hat and round gold sunglasses. It’s perfect for that chill and relaxed daytime campfire ambiance.
