There’s something so satisfying about finding a wardrobe basic that actually makes getting dressed easier. A built-in bra cami is one of those pieces that can simplify your wardrobe, especially if you’re looking for an alternative to visible bra straps or constantly layering multiple pieces.
In this edition of Dressed Up Dressed Down, I’m styling the Magic Bra Built-In Bra Cami two completely different ways to show just how versatile one simple basic can be. One outfit is casual and sporty for everyday wear, while the other uses colour, texture and accessories to create a more elevated look without adding extra layers.
If you’d rather watch than read, you can check out the full styling video below. Otherwise, keep scrolling for a breakdown of both outfits, my thoughts on the built-in bra cami, and why this version stands out from others I’ve owned.
The Base

Today I’m styling this built-in bra cami from Magic Bra. It’s a really simple wardrobe basic, so I wanted to see just how differently I could style it. Let’s start with the dressed-down look.
Dressed Down

I’ve paired the cami with a white pleated tennis skirt for an easy, sporty look that’s perfect for weekends, running errands or grabbing a coffee.
To keep that relaxed feel, I’ve added white sneakers with scrunched crew socks, a leopard print cap and a crossbody bag.
For accessories, I kept things fairly minimal with a few delicate gold necklaces and my everyday watch. Because the cami is so simple, it gives the accessories a chance to stand out without the outfit feeling overdone.
This is exactly the kind of outfit I’d throw on when I want to feel comfortable, but still look like I’ve made an effort.
Why This One? – The Magic Bra Built-In Bra Cami
I’ve actually worn built-in bra tops for years because I hate visible bra straps… but they’ve always had one problem.
Those removable inserts drive me insane. They twist around in the wash, fall out completely, and then you have to turn the whole top inside out trying to put them back in again.

That’s actually why I was interested in trying this one from Magic Bra.
Instead of removable inserts, the bra is sewn into the cami, so there’s nothing to lose, twist or reinsert after washing.

I’ve found myself reaching for it because it’s just easy. I can throw it on, style it a few different ways and not have to think about it.

I’ve worked with Magic Bra in a previous episode of Dressed Up Dressed Down and I continue to be impressed with their products and ethos. If you’d like to try them yourself, visit Magic Bra here, and you can use my code GRACEVIP for 20% off.
Dressed Up

Now onto the dressed-up look. Dressing something up doesn’t always mean making it formal. Sometimes it’s just about styling a simple piece a little more intentionally.
I’ve paired the cami with brown tailored trousers, which instantly make the outfit feel a little more polished while still keeping it comfortable. To define the waist, I’ve added a statement chain belt, layered gold jewellery and a structured handbag to dress up the simple neckline.
It’s still a really relaxed outfit, but one I’d happily wear out to lunch, a casual dinner or even a day at work. It’s a good reminder that sometimes it’s not the clothing itself that changes the feel of an outfit, it’s the styling.
Thanks for joining me for another styling session! I’d love to know which outfit you’d be more likely to wear. Are you team dressed down or dressed up?
